Job Description

  • Assists in establishing equipment numbering of all equipment/instrumentation
  • Develop Equipment Reliability Strategy program on each piece of equipment
  • Perform “PM Optimization Reviews” on all PDMs/CMs
  • Assist in the accurate development of equipment Bill of Materials
  • Works with TEC/FEI teams to ensure consistency with overall maintenance strategies
  • Reviews equipment history for trends & recommends improvements
  • Develops “Maintenance Strategies”  on all critical equipment. Perform PM Optimization reviews to ensure the strategies will prevent premature failures of plant equipment. Reviews equipment history for trends & recommends improvements
  • Leads RCFA teams to diagnose equipment failures and drives corrective actions.
  • Ensure MIT inspection data is analyzed, documented and any MIT deficiencies communicated to Operations via Maintenance Manager
  • Shares improvement bulletins and RCFA learning's with enterprise and site. Evaluates and produces MIT alerts and their applicability
  • Monitor/Ensures the quality of repairs to pumps, compressors, turbines, fans and other related work requiring skilled millwrights or electricians.
  • Ensure all key elements of ECO’s MIT program are fully established within Plant’s MIT program.
  • Establishes frequencies and priorities for all required MIT inspections, and that inspections are maintained current
  • Performs field audits regarding planning and scheduling effectives
  • Formulates detailed job plan instructions (STD Procedures on PMs/PDMS)
  • Provides technical input on capital projects and/or equipment specifications.
  • Coordinates outsides services as required by job plans for specialized work.
  • Recommends equipment reliability improvements & cost reductions opportunities
  • Works with craftsmen to identify root cause of failures & rework repairs – assists in certain cases
  • Routinely reviews backlogs and/or MIT compliance reports to ensure all critical PM/PDMs and MIT inspections are scheduled/completed within established time limits. Assists and reports Maintenance Manager.
  • Provides technical input on capital projects and /or equipment specifications to ensure early equipment care requirements are achieved. Manages small BCER projects as needed.
  • Function as site’s Root Cause Failure Analysis expert and facilitator
  • Researches and recommends the use of new PM/PDM/CM/MIT technologies and monitors existing technologies to ensure that the application of these technologies are fully being utilized and are returning a value to the Plant. Such as: laser alignment, oil analysis, IR, NDT, acoustic emission, corrosion monitoring, vibration monitoring, process monitoring, etc.
  • Helps coordinate equipment performance testing to ensure critical equipment is functioning properly and capable of meeting design conditions when necessary
  • Ensure equipment repair manuals and ECO repairs standards are established and written
  • Works with the Maintenance Manager/Superintendent and engineering to ensure that equipment files are being properly maintained
    • Researches and recommends the use of new PM/PDM/CM/MIT technologies and monitors existing technologies to ensure that the application of these technologies are fully being utilized and are returning a value to the Plant. Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Mechanical or Chemical engineering required.
  • Three plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a chemical manufacturing setting
