Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Manage hourly work force including production, warehouse and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure plant compliance with all health, safety and environmental laws.
  • Lead ongoing process improvement efforts by developing teams utilizing CQI techniques.
  • Assure full compliance with all product manufacturing specifications.
  • Manage fixed and variable costs of all manufacturing to meet budgeted expectations.
  • Manage capital projects.
  • Manage an effective preventative maintenance program.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

 This position requires experience working with a glass furnace.

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in mechanical, chemical or related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience working with a glass furnace
  • Supervisory experience with an hourly work force.
  • Experience managing cost budgets and capital projects.
  • Compliance knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001 programs.
  • Proven record of excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
  • Experience with and understanding of statistical process tools.
